Cynon Valley Museum reopened in 2016 as a Trust-run, independent museum, after a transfer of ownership from the Local Authority. In this role I was responsible for: * strategic development * fundraising * governance support * line management of 3 staff * stakeholder and partnership management During my time at the CVMT, the Museum has successfully reopened after local authority closure, recruited over 70 volunteers, secured over £570,000 in grant funding, and begun to strategically plan in order to achieve sustainability by 2021. I am responsible for a small and driven team who oversee the operations of the Museum.

I joined the team at Mencap Cymru to support in the final 6 months of the exciting Hidden Now Heard Project. I was responsible for the design of exhibitions and interpretation, working with volunteers and liaising with museums taking part in the project.

Mansfield, Nottingham

As the sole member of staff responsible for outreach, I was responsible for projects from inception to delivery. I was also the lead on a 2 week project where the museum took over a retail unit in the town centre, inviting creativity and heritage into the centre of the town. The Pop Up Museum welcomed over 1000 people in two weeks, 20% of whom had never been to the main Museum before.*These projects were cumulatively shortlisted for the award for Best Special Project in the 2016 Nottinghamshire Heritage Awards.

Responsible for providing tours to prospective students and their families during open days as well as running the rota for interview sessions.
