Over five years as Owner, Executive Director and Lead Consultant, I supervised of up to 65 employees, at one time, while providing educational and behavioral consulting and direct services for children with special needs in 3 counties in Southern New Jersey. Our focus was using the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis to build functional and supportive programming to children with special needs and their families. We also focused heavily on providing field placements for both Rowan University and Rutgers University at Camden. Many of our interns went on to hold positions at BCT and are now leading professionals in the field in Southern New Jersey.

As a Consultant, I was responsible for over-seeing Discrete Trial Therapists delivery of ABA instruction, monitoring and revision of programming, and parent training. I worked directly with Mt. Holly Township Schools under the Least Restrictive Environment grant providing consultation to teachers and Child Study Team members on classroom management strategies and individual behavior planning. My duties also included giving in-services in various districts on a wide range of topics such as Functional Assessment and Behavior Support.

As Director of New Projects, I was responsible for serving students with special needs through the B2EST (Building Behavioral and Educational Support Teams) Program for the School District of Philadelphia. Initially, the position involved the monitoring of research being conducted within these 7 classrooms, involvement in grant writing, and consultation and training for all levels of school personnel in Philadelphia. Eventually, the position was transformed into Director of Consulting and Training and spread to serving districts surrounding Philadelphia. Our focus was on training school districts in Positive Behavior Support (PBS) from the top down, with follow-up consultation to support implementation of PBS and Individual Support Planning.
