Hi,I am Charmy. I will be fresh out of college in December 2021 with a bachelor's in biochemistry from Carroll University. I am very passionate about chemistry and related areas. I am a self-motivated, organized, and detail-oriented chemist who is capable of working with different chemicals, compounds, and instruments. I have worked in the chemistry department stock room which has introduced to me different chemicals and instruments. I was a teaching assistant for general chemistry, organic chemistry, instrumental chemistry, and biochemistry. I have also done independent research under a professor for almost 3 years on analyzing baseline water quality in the Fox River, Waukesha, WI. I have solved problems related to IC and ICP-MS. I have also written and edited SOPs as per required. I have hands on experience with HPLC, GC, IR, UV-VIS, electrochemistry, primer designing using SnapGene, KinTek Software. Collaboratively, all my experiences has made me a versatile chemist. I have worked under work-study with the Chemistry Department, Campus Center Information Desk, Admissions, Advising office, Walter Young Center, and Dining Services which has given me a vide range of experience and training. Working with the campus center information desk has helped me improve my communication skills in English as it was not my first language. I have worked as an admission counselor which has taught me to troubleshoot multiple things at a time. Working with the advising office as a peer mentor has taught me time managing skills and make plans. Working with Walter Young center as a note-taker for organic chemistry, physics, and climate change class has helped me to take more organized and tidier notes. And working with dining services as a cashier has made me more responsible for handling cash and important documents. Apart for working and school work, I enjoyed volunteering and be part of organizations. Currently, I am working with world biggest plasmid DNA producer Aldevron located in Fargo, ND. In my role as GMP biomanufacturing operator, we work on growing and purifying DNA as per our client's requirement. I like to do in my free time is socializing, travelling, photography, and watching TV. I am willing to relocate if required. Overall, I am hardworking, entry-level chemist with great communication skills.
