As a Program Specialist, my main priority is offering services to Native Hawaiian, Native Alaskan, and Native American youth seeking summer work experience or classroom training. My duties include consulting, counseling and monitoring.Consulting: Interacts with participants and parents to ensure participants are income eligible according to the 2013 LLSIL guidelines and assists participants in completing intake and eligibility determination forms. Also ensures funding for classroom training and educational incentives.Counseling: Assists participants in developing skills and/or employment plans, while collaborating with eligible participants in choosing an available work site or training institution according to their employment interests. Monitoring: Performs site visits to monitor, evaluate, and report on participants' progress and effectiveness of the site's work or training program. Also ensures participants receive class credit in exchange for educational incentives. Responsible for collecting time sheets, evaluation and monitoring work site forms.Partnered with Helping Hands Hawaii to provide school tools/supplies for the Fall 2013 school year to participants and their immediate families.

As an independent product consultant, my main priority was to create consumer awareness about nature's medicine in the form of essential oils: the safer, cheaper, and more effective alternative to pharmaceutical and prescription drugs. My duties included direct marketing, event planning and supervising.
