Founded and managed Acquia's involvement in the Australian government's govCMS (www.govcms.gov.au) program.govCMS is arguably the most successful shared services initiative by the Australian government, and has attracted praise from governments around the world. govCMS aimed to move agencies to an Open Source CMS and public cloud, and also looked to remove the barriers between teams by creating an environment of shared innovation.

First hire in Asia Pacific to build and run Acquia's APAC operations. I joined Acquia because I saw the potential of Open Source Software (OSS). To me, it was the answer to the limitations of prospective customers trying to start projects with licensed software. It was a brave new world, and we spent a good few years trying to explain what an OSS PaaS platform could be!Building the team from one person to a team of sales, pre-sales, support, services and more was an exciting journey. I was responsible for all APAC operations including sales, partner channel, business development, administration and helping develop the Drupal community.

Following Oracle's acquisition of Endeca, I helped train the Australia sales team. Oracle wasn’t a company I was interested in staying with post-Endeca. I wanted to find an enterprise Open Source software company as a next role.
