Responsible for the development, implementation, and ongoing management of ASN’s educational content strategy for providing medical educational activities to ASN members and non-members. Working collaboratively with volunteers and internal staff to ensure content meets organization and learner objectives. Focus on providing effective education which enables ASN learners to improve patient outcomes. Along with other team members, provides oversight of ASN’s efforts related to workforce and training, as well as diversity, equity, inclusion, and health care justice.

Foster global partnerships in the field of Nephrology by bringing content experts to various cities, in order to provide their critiques and perspectives on the latest research, and network with the participants. ASN Highlights has taken place in the following cities: Abu Dhabi, UAE; Berlin, Germany; Budapest, Hungary; Copenhagen, Denmark; Guiyang, China; Hangzhou, China; Havana, Cuba; Madrid, Spain; Mexico City, Mexico; Mumbai, India; Ouro Preto, Brazil; Punta Cana, Dominican Republic; Vienna, Austria; Wuhan, ChinaCultivate new revenue streams for ASN educational products. Responsible for coordinating the educational content and faculty for industry supported programs at Kidney Week. Oversee the organization of several simultaneous Early Programs with over 2,000 participants and 300 faculty per year. Oversee the planning and implementation of ASN’s premiere Board Review Course and Update (BRCU) which is a week-long preparation course for the ABIM Nephrology Board Certification and Maintenance of Certification (MOC) Examinations.Manage the education review and approbation procedure across the ASN Alliance, and oversee accreditation operations.

The American Society of Nephrology (ASN) leads the fight against kidney disease by educating health professionals, sharing new knowledge, advancing research, and advocating the highest quality care for patients.

Responsible for further developing WomenHeart's National Leadership and Patient Support Services programs. This includes: managing the annual Science & Leadership Symposium at Mayo Clinic; evaluating the level of ongoing involvement and supporting the needs of patient volunteers; evaluating the current volunteer training and support network model and developing a plan to take the program to scale; and developing new patient support services based on feedback from current volunteers. Serves as the liaison for the Scientific Advisory Board.

Executed all programs related to the work of the Committee on Women in Neuroscience and the Committee on Diversity in Neuroscience;Established an innovative, membership-wide mentoring program involving over 1,000 women scientists;Contributed to the organization’s strategic planning efforts at the board level specifically in regards to professional development, gender and ethnic diversity in neuroscience;Established an income-generating career service (NeuroJobs) for neuroscientists and worked closely with the vendor;Directed the execution and evaluation of dozens of professional development events annually, some include over 250 participants;Executed international workshops and evaluation components annually for graduate and postdoctoral students in resource-restricted countries; successful cultivation of funding streams; Secured and directed an on-going federally funded grant totaling $2M specifically for the professional development of underrepresented minorities in neuroscience;Executed income-generating goals totaling $1M annually to support various aspects of an annual convention drawing 28,000-32,000 attendees; Managed an annual budget of approximately $ 2M;Oversaw the administration of several prestigious scientific achievement award programs; successful acquisition and maintenance of external funding for the programs;Directed an innovative team (5 staff); routine report to Executive Director and board.

Managed all programs for over 100 local chapters accross the world. Developed new programs for re-enagement of dormant chapters. Managed various awards and fellowship programs, including 2 federally funded (NIH) grants. Served as the staff liaison for the follwoing committees, Committe on Women in Neuroscience, Committe on Diversity in Neuroscience and the International Affairs Committee. Served as the program manager for all professional development activities.
