Dr. Chas Egan is an innovative thinker and technical leader with a PhD in cosmology and more than a decade's experience delivering production grade predictive models and modelling software solutions in high-stakes environments. Key skills include science, team leading, modelling and data science, software development, agile, high performance computing, hydrology, physics, and statistical methods.Chas has an academic background in cosmology, which has given him strong scientific problem-solving skills, high-performance software development skills, and a particular appreciation for data, uncertainty, and predictive modelling of physical and organisational systems. In a previous role, Chas worked for the University of Canberra on the development of the eWater Source modelling platform, which is being widely adopted as the platform of choice for catchment and river modelling across Australia. Chas has a BSc (1st Class Honors) from Griffith University and a PhD in cosmology from the University of New South Wales (seconded to Australian National University).
