As an Electrical Infrastructure Operations Engineer, I am responsible for supporting 24x7x365 on-site data center operations, electrical infrastructure, and electrical systems. This includes establishing and coordinating maintenance and safety procedures, maintaining electrical designs, and managing the electrical infrastructures throughout the data center campus, ranging from a single large capacity facility to several smaller ones. I work with multiple teams to thoroughly test and validate installation, operation, and performance of electrical systems.In addition, I create and execute robust, scalable, secure, and extensible designs and/or verification plans for the electrical engineering aspects of moderately complex and well-defined products or features. I use data and statistical analyses to identify complex problems or flaws that may affect a feature or product design change and identify workable solutions and bring them to the attention of other engineers. I understand the design and functionality of the data center and document complex details about materials, components, and/or functionality for a device via accepted release processes and highlight potential compatibility issues. I perform daily, weekly, and monthly inspections and maintenance of infrastructure supporting data center operations, and embody the company culture and values.

My responsibilities include applying prescribed methods and standard practices in performing specific tasks within projects, and assisting other engineering staff on more complex projects. Project assignments include planning, designing, materials procurement, project management, and project accounting (budgeting, estimating, forecasting). This position also assists with engineering studies and investigations, and in preparation of oral and written reports.Special projects I've been involved in:-Updating the MEC Electric Service Manual to accommodate changes in the NEC code-Procurement and installation of motor operated smart switches-Review, inspection, and testing of private generation (solar)-Emerging Leaders Program

My main task during this job was designing electrical distribution systems for new developments along with corrective maintenance orders for existing systems. I worked with the Department of Transportation to receive approval to replace lighting along highway roads. I also performed arc flash and fault current studies for outside contractors.
