The Healing Center offers grief support and community for adults, children, and families after losing a loved one. As Executive Director, I was responsible for the financial resource management, developing and evaluating programs to meet the needs of grieving individuals, and creating the overall organization strategy in collaboration with the Board of Directors. I am particularly proud that I was able to orchestrate a client process improvement project that focused on creating standards and metrics for client-employee interactions, which resulted in cutting client wait times by 50% and increased client attendance to 80%.

The YMCA of Greater Seattle connects with communities to create programs that foster healthy living, youth development, and social responsibility. As a member of the advancement and community engagement team, I was responsible for representing the team’s goals and strategy in internal organization-wide projects, establishing and maintaining the department budget at the direction of the Chief Development Officer, and ensuring all internal fundraising processes and systems met the needs of donors, volunteers, and staff. I coordinated the department budget of approximately $5 million by aligning individual program budget needs with the department strategic plan, which resulted in greater organization-wide transparency.

As the Director of Annual Giving, I was responsible for planning the organization-wide campaign to raise $6 million for the organization. This included consulting with each branch executive on their campaign roles, training all staff and volunteers on the basics of fundraising, and developing a suite of marketing materials for print, mail, email, and social media. Simultaneously, I served as the interim Director of Member & Donor services to manage both staff teams and operations. I amplified the fundraising strategy to include direct response campaigns through print, email, and social media channels, which resulted in annual fundraising growth from $4.7 million to over $8 million from over 10,000 donors.

I optimized and customized executive dashboards to strategic goal specifications. I was able to create a complex coding to mail merge donor tax letters, which decreased average communication lag time from one month to one week.
