At Creekside, I spent a week at each department gaining a wholistic view of how they ran their greenhouse, nursery operation. These departments consisted of all 5 of their different growing operations, the mechanic shop, the sales department, and the shipping/ receiving area. Each department was a little different but with the growers my work included working from 7am to 4pm performing tasks such as pulling plants for outgoing orders, potting up, or trimming. While with the mechanics I engaged in working with 18wheelers, Ac units, tire repair, and operation big machinery such as a bobcat unit. In the sales department I shadowed their sales representatives and attended on sales trips where we visited customers in the Austin area.
