I am a Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), Certified Safety Professional (CSP) and Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP). I am currently the Operations Manager of the Alberta OHS group for Pinchin Ltd. as well as the Regional Practice Leader - OHS for the Alberta and Saskatchewan region. I am also the Public Relations Director for the American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA) Alberta Local Section and a board member of the Health and Safety Conference Society of Alberta (HSCSA).My role involves numerous facets of business, industrial hygiene and OHS. As the Operations Manager for the Alberta group, I ensure the continued financial success of the Alberta OHS team and the professional development of the team members. My role involves forecasting and strategic planning as well as developing and executing a vision for the future of the department.In addition to my duties as the Operations Manager, I plan, manage and coordinate industrial hygiene and OHS projects in a multitude of industries and environments. Moreover, I regularly have the opportunity to perform field work requiring a higher level of expertise. I have extensive experience in auditing for commercial properties and construction projects to ensure compliance with applicable legislation, standards and codes. I also have experience designing and reviewing Health and Safety Programs for clients in various industries.As the Regional Practice Leader, I am responsible for developing the practice of OHS within the Alberta and Saskatchewan region. My duties include identifying gaps in knowledge, technical abilities and standard operating procedures and identifying opportunities to improve the practice of OHS within Pinchin.I hold a Master of Public Health degree with specialization in Occupational and Environmental Health and a Bachelor of Science degree with specialization in Immunology and Infection, both from the University of Alberta.
