I was born and raised in southern California in a family of six. I am a student at Clovis Community College studying computer science. I am an honors graduate from Clovis East High School with a 4.0 and am a CSF Lifetime member. I have also received a Google certification in User Experience Design. In my freetime, I enjoy playing video games with my friends and learning how to fix and customize anything related to technology including mice, gamepad buttons, and keyboards. I am self taught when it comes to building and modding computers and their accessories. I am not afraid of failure because it leads to deeper understanding. I have an interest in programming and coding and have taken advanced placement classes to learn more.My short-term educational goals are to get my associates degree in computer science. I hope to accomplish this goal by summer of 2025. I became interested in computer science back in the summer of 2017 when I started watching youtube videos on how to build a computer and have wanted to learn more ever since. After getting a computer, my interest shifted from how computers are made to how programs are created. My short term career goal is to get a part-time job in the computer science field that is flexible, so I can continue to attend community college and work. My long term career goal is to get a job as a software engineer at Google, Microsoft, or DuckDuckGo.In my class at the Center For Advanced Research and Technology, we have learned the different aspects of UX Design and the process that designers go through when creating an app/website. We have learned how to professionally conduct surveys as well as how to wireframe and prototype using Figma and Adobe XD. I have also obtained a UX Design certification from Google and worked on an unpaid internship for Harris Ranch for two months. have completed many iterations on all three of my projects after getting feedback from conducting usability studies. I plan on using my certificate to get a part-time job after graduating college but before I get a job in Computer Science. At Clovis East, I was involved in a volunteering club called Key Club. Key Club is a club that informs people about volunteering activities in the community and helps students get volunteering hours. I have gained over 70 hours of volunteering where I have volunteered with others at events like the Reagan Elementary Carnival, Two-Cities Marathon, and local senior centers. I have helped set up stations with other volunteers and organized events for the community to enjoy and bring us together.
