I have been programming since high school and initially I had loved it, solving problems and seeing output on the command line was fascinating to me because I had created something from my own writing and it had gone through the computer and printed out. Even seeing Hello World printed out had me full of excitement and had me poised to learn more. Going into college, I didn't really know where I wanted to take my professional career and what would be most fulfilling for me. I spent my time in college as a philosophy major, which I had loved and has me helped me not only educationally, but on a personal level, which had a benefit that is immeasurable. I realized that I had lost my love for tech and had tapped back into it, which had led me to Tech Elevator. A program which has a rigorous timeline of content that needs to be acquired quickly to keep up with the pace of the course, fits my learning style to a tee. Learning in a quick manner and being able to apply it on the spot, is an environment where I can thrive. The technical skills that I already had prior to Tech Elevator, as well as the ones I am acquiring from the program, will leverage my creativity and love for innovation and being on the frontier of the technology world, into a successful tech career as a Software Engineer.
