I worked this internship under the lead technician for multiple different jobs and locations. I helped to gather data on the units, measure required flow rates for corrections, and assisted in air and water balancing throughout the job. I gained first hand experience in a construction zone, and I was able to work on large air handler units, operate equipment around the job site, and get hands on work with the heating and cooling systems. I learned how a balancing firm is run and operated, while also having to communicate with multiple people/groups on the job sites to know their level of completion. This would allow us to know what we were able to accomplish at that specific job site. I also assisted in the mathematical calculations required to balance the air handler and water systems throughout the job sites.

I worked directly under the lead engineer for the pipeline, and helped gather measurements and information for the following crews so they can make the proper adjustments on the pipeline. I collaborated with the bending crew and made sure the bends were the correct degree and length. I also helped maintain the right-away on the job, making sure the company did not exceed the work space bounds. I learned to communicate and get along with a variety of workers and work styles; I got to work on many different crews such as the engineering crew, bending crew, and environmental crew, which allowed me to gain experience across the whole job.
