Personnel of MOS 7051 employ aircraft firefighting equipment and extinguish materials to rescue aircrew and passengers involved in aircraft crashes and to fight fires in and around grounded or crashed aircraft. Typicalduties include operating, servicing, inspecting, and testing aircraft firefighting and rescue vehicles, firefighting systems, controls, and rescue equipment; instructing personnel in the technique and procedures of fighting aircraft fires and operating heavy equipment to hoist and move all types of naval aircraft.
