I started my journey into marketing after graduating from Arkansas Tech University in 2009 with a degree in graphic design and soon continued with a graduate degree at the University of Arkansas. While completing a master’s degree in agricultural communications, I focused my thesis research on public perceptions of agricultural issues and information based on how it was presented visually on the web.During graduate school, I was hired as a marketing intern at Acumen Brands, where I first discovered an interest in e-commerce and digital marketing. After completing my Masters, I was able to gain experience managing digital marketing for multiple outdoor companies as a freelancer and worked as a designer for Sam’s Club. Then, as one of the first few employees at BLKBOXLABS, I experienced working with many local and national brands. During this time, I was primarily a digital marketing manager while also assisting with design as needed. I joined Lauren James full-time in in 2014 as the Director of E-Commerce, where I led e-commerce strategy and digital creative, email marketing, SEO, PPC, display advertising, and other digital marketing efforts that contributed to a growth of more than 2,700% in just 3 years. Since then, I have worked as Cheesy Labs. This work has included branding, web design, e-commerce strategy, and digital marketing and ad management for various clients.
