I am from a rural town in Oregon born and raised in the Wallowa mountains. The first part of my life was dedicated to the game of basketball. Playing for over 10 years the game taught me lessons in persistence, team work and leadership. I started varsity as a freshman with goals of winning championships and playing college basketball. Though I love the game and forever will, a yearning to experience other aspects of life took ahold and during my Junior year of high school I started to explore the performing arts. My school being too small to offer theater or film as electives pushed me to create a theater club that took hold and turned into a class that any could take with the exception that I would direct the shows. Before I graduated I wrote and directed 'Café Murder' and 'Once Upon a Dream'. Falling in love with acting I joined the Elgin Opera House and was cast in several lead roles including 'The Little Mermaid' that performed at the Junior Theater Festival and won excellence in ensemble. Since then I got accepted to the University of Oregon for Cinema Studies cultivating my interest in the film world which led me to study Cinema In Dun Laoghaire Ireland in 2023. Ive acted in many plays and student short films since and became the Vice president of the University Film Organization (UFO). Today I am a Junior at the University of Oregon and have taken on the role of producer for student films through the UFO like 'Bricks of Life' by Jack Perry. I am now preparing for a lead role in a miniseries and organizing the end of year student film festival through the UFO. My love for acting has grown into a love for film as I continue my studies at the UO. A goal of mine is to gain experience in all aspects of the film world. I believe gaining different perspectives and experiences in the film world is invaluable to the creation of the art form. My experience directing my Ireland film 'The Hurler' has cultivated a love for cinematography and visual storytelling. My producing experience has given me a great respect for project managing and the business side of film. The courses i've taken in the history of film, film analysis, and animation have illuminated my love for acting and the art of film. I plan on getting an internship to get my feet on the grounds of a professional film set over the summer while continuing my creative journey of writing and acting. In my senior year of college I plan to write and direct a short film, get accepted into film festivals, and graduate with my friends as I continue my acting career.
