Our 6 person team built and trained two SOTA foundation image models. The second was a custom architecture from the ground up. I contracted here to get up to speed on foundational model training and to help the team in a pinch; I left after we released our V3 model.⚬ Significantly improved the reliability of our training cluster by 90%+. One of which required an email to Jensen Huang to get a GPU firmware fix.⚬ Sped up Linux Chrome. For example, I fixed a bug where the URL bar in Linux Chrome has unnecessarily high latency. The profiling tools are quite excellent⚬ Built a culture that uniquely prioritized writing. We wrote detailed weekly progress notes since the company started. This culture still persists at Playground AI, since it was so successful⚬ Conducted dozens of user interviews and strategized on product decisions⚬ Supported security audits, given that Mighty was effectively running arbitrary user code and networking trafficI then helped transition the company to Playground AI.
