Hey! My name is Chase Lewis, and I am a computer engineering graduate from the Rochester Institute of Technology with a strong passion for software development and embedded systems. I have 3-4 years of a combination of academic and internship experience in various programming languages such as Python, Java, C/C++, and VHDL, as well as operating systems (LINUX, macOS, and Windows), Real-time operation systems (FreeRTOS), algorithms and data structures, and FPGA.I am experienced in agile development methodologies and have used Git and GitLab for version control. Additionally, I have worked with integrated circuits and AWS. In my previous internships at Ultra Electronics and SRI International, I developed skills in C++, CLI applications, and FPGA implementation.I have also completed several impressive projects, including developing a Texas Instrument car using C programming and various functionalities like UART, I2C, and PWM. I also devolped a baseball swing analyzer with a local web server, and implementing the MIPS pipeline in VHDL. I have also developed skills in RTOS and serial communication while simulating a banking environment as one of the few projects I developed using a RTOS.Aside from my technical skills, I was an active member of the Engineers of Color Creating Opportunities (ECCO) and National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE), where I have mentored and collaborated with others in student-led projects. As a former captain of the R.I.T Men's Varsity Basketball team, I have also developed leadership and teamwork skills. Overall, I am a highly motivated individual who is dedicated to learning and growing as a software engineer.
