In this role I was responsible for planning, strategizing, and dispatching truck drivers for store deliveries and vendor-scheduled backhauls. These deliveries involve general merchandise, grocery, and e-commerce loads. Emphasis was delivering at a high level of service for our customers while trying to maintain the least amount of extra miles at the lowest cost. Another facet of our role is routing trips for grocery distribution centers for freezer/dairy/deli and meat/produce, while optimizing backhauls to improve profitability. Region exceeded performance target in top three categories: Outbound (99.7% on a goal of 98.25%), Inbound (99% on a goal of 97%), and e-commerce (100% on a goal of 99%). Launched the transition of dispatching from third party to private fleet for Walmart Distribution Center 6074 in Auburn, IN. One of two managers on shift responsible for dispatching high priority e-commerce loads that have a strict delivery time due to guaranteed two day shipping to customers. Trained 3 managers as well to work e-commerce process. Graduate of Walmart Leadership Development Program.
