I’m a Class of 2024 Public Health Major at Texas A&M University. Currently, I am seeking a job either in healthcare or in nonprofit/philanthropic project-based work.Right now, I have the honor of serving as Chief Operating Officer for BUILD, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in College Station, TX (buildtamu.com). A student-led-and-run nonprofit, BUILD leads the construction of fully-functional clinics inside shipping containers in order to unite the Texas A&M student body behind selfless service. As COO, I lead 5 Team Leaders and over 90 Command Team members. I serve as the project manager for the Fall 2023 Project, overseeing the construction, design, materials, operations, and development and training teams. During my tenure, we have successfully mobilized our four 2022 Texas Aggie Medical Clinics and developed a project plan for the construction of 5 more in the fall, while creating a significantly cheaper budget and adding important safety improvements. Last year, I served as the Materials Procurement Team Leader for BUILD 2022, keeping the construction project of 4 Texas Aggie Medical Clinics on time and below its budget by generating over $10,000 in new in-kind donations.Between my coursework and my professional experiences, I’ve developed skills such as team management, project management, provision of activities of daily living (ADL), leadership, logistics coordination, professional writing, donor outreach, cultural competence, and more. I pride myself in my ability to operate under high pressure and in my ability to create solutions to emerging issues.
