Aspen Group is an EdTech holding company that operates two private universities. I joined Aspen in 2021 as a Systems Administrator and was promoted to IT Manager where I report to the VP of IT, and my work has focused on overhauling the IT department, building infrastructure, automation, and managing customer-facing IT. In addition to my technical work, I played a key role in hiring and mentoring of four IT staff, restructuring the team, and defining new roles and job titles. Project Highlights: • Led overhaul of internal ticketing systems to simplify and streamline requests for new accounts, account terminations, name changes, new equipment shipping/receiving, etc. • Introduced automation to PC imaging with Microsoft Intune. Created policies, defined configurations for base image, and maintained latest tested versions for deployment when new PCs were issued.• Contributed to implementation of ManageEngine Endpoint Central (cloud only) RMM to improve asset management, application deployment, and remote control of PC's. • Consolidated software agreements, streamlined purchasing processes, and led decision making for hardware and software purchasing. • Implemented patch management system with multiple deployment schedules.• Contributed to an Azure AD SSO implementation and led migration from Google Suite to Azure. • Currently leading implementation of Intune MDM product.

NEBCO is a family owned and operated holding company with businesses in Insurance, Real Estate, and all aspects of Construction. I was hired to manage a VMware environment that included an on-prem cluster and a VMC cloud infrastructure. My day-to-day responsibilities included administering a hybrid Azure AD joined environment, application deployments, Windows desktop/server updates, software updates, administration of multiple other products (SCCM, Intune, Windows Server), and mentoring new hires. Project Highlights: • Contributed to migration of legacy 2008 R2 servers to newer versions and migration from on-prem Exchange to O365. • Managed and created all images for automated PC deployment and architected migration from Windows 7 to 10. • Modified, consolidated, and organized GPOs.• Maintained VMware on premise, contributed to migration to VMC, and optimized environment performance.• Implemented patch management system with multiple deployment schedules.
