Hi, my name is Chasity! I am passionate about being an educator as well as community engagement, youth and family advocacy, and creating collaborative experiences. I am seeking opportunities that combine education and social services with leadership. I am seeking to apply management, educational, and special education knowledge. Given the opportunity to play a direct role in the unlimited growth and success for young children and their families. As a special service specialist, I recruit and enroll children with various disabilities. I implement individualized educational plans. I work with parents of children with disabilities. Along side maintaining enrollment and caseload, I work with the teachers on children with challenges both in and outside the classroom.As a teacher, I designed instruction appropriate for all students that reflects an understanding of relevant content and is based on continuous and appropriate assessment. Creating an inclusive environment that promotes student learning by providing responsive instruction. My time as a summer camp director allowed me to become familiar with management of operations and programs, meeting supervisory expectations for other staff, and administrative responsibilities. As a intern with Communities in Schools of North Texas , I managed a caseload of 10 students. Under the supervision of a licensed social worker, I learned psycho-social assessments, intervention and service planning, crisis intervention, and client advocacy, I'm technically savvy, personable, service-oriented, and strong communicator with a heart to serve children and families.
