The Helpdesk Technician provides technical support for employees of the organization, including those who work remotely. The technical support covers desktop, laptop and mobile devices, as well as access to internal computer resources. • Provide a high level of customer service in response to all support calls, emails and web based ticket entries, while recording all necessary information into the tracking system. • Deploy new and upgraded PC and mobile devices to employees. • Maintain inventory of PCs and related equipment. • Remain familiar with the current Passport Health organizational structure and the information systems related activities preformed. • Support hardware and related software in various areas such as laptops, desktops, peripherals, mobile devices, network printers, wireless networks, cabling and projectors. • Documentation and communication of normal user activities in order to facilitate a good user support experience as well as increase efficiency. • Perform and co-ordinate various upgrades and rollouts. • Provide assistance to network group in areas such as routine checks, documentation, purchasing, licensing, and equipment management. • Provide user support and network administration concerning technologies such as VPN, group policies, Active Directory, DHCP, antivirus software, system updates (patches), unattended installs, systems monitoring, Microsoft Exchange and communications troubleshooting. • Continually learn and improve technical skills by making use of reading materials and other available training tools. • Obtain and share knowledge of all supported applications and platforms.
