Managed a staff of 14 for the corporate accounting function. Over saw the accounting for Trinity’s 17 business units. Key member of team that implemented Oracle general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, fixed assets while outsourcing accounting processing functions to an onsite accounting service center. In connection with the outsourcing project, led the change management effort of the project. Key member of the steering committee that directed the implementation of PeopleSoft payroll version 8. Key member of team that led the effort for Trinity to be in compliance with Section 404 of the Sarbanes–Oxley Act. On the team that raised $300 million in Senior Notes while renegotiating the Company’s existing credit facility. Redesigned the Company’s annual report on Form 10-K and quarterly report on Form 10-Q. Met all deadlines. Conducted quarterly operational review meetings for Trinity’s 17 business units. Conducted quarterly controllers’ meetings for the controllers of Trinity’s 17 business units. Purpose of meetings was to disseminate information on recent accounting developments, changes in procedures, and review reporting packages prior to quarterly operational meetings.

Developed financial area from subsidiary activity to sophisticated, NYSE-compliant, high-growth management function. Led numerous complex, innovative financing activities, migrating the entity to a stand-alone publicly held capital markets participant. Coordinated the move of the accounting and personnel records of the Company from St. Louis (home of former parent) to Dallas. Performed an integral, senior management role as a key part of the Executive Team building from a 5-unit private subsidiary of a shoe retailer with $53 million in revenue in 1994 to a 28 unit, multinational NYSE-listed entity with revenue of $350 million in 2001.

Raised private capital, and managed a public offering process (aborted due to operational deterioration) for this 20 unit, high end Italian restaurant chain. Relocated corporate offices from New York to Dallas, inventing and implementing systems and creating a fully staffed, functional finance department in the process. Created budgeting process, introduced cash management programs, established banking relationships and implemented cost savings programs to accompany relocation and staffing challenges.
