Chason Goldschmitz is an artistic administrator, producer, composer, and arranger, and the Director of Production, Music, and Arts & Health for the office of a prominent classical musician. In addition to overseeing performance operations and logistics, he serves as producer and production engineer for live multimedia performances, along with in-person and online public events around the arts and health. Goldschmitz also coordinates various arts and health research, policy, and funding initiatives with key advocacy groups, arts organizations, universities, legislative offices, and government agencies on local, state, and federal levels.Arrangements and orchestrations by Goldschmitz have been performed by soprano Renée Fleming and ensembles including the Baltimore, Houston, and Palm Beach Symphonies; the Buffalo Philharmonic; the National Arts Centre Orchestra (Ottawa); and L'Orchestre des Nations (Geneva). His original compositions have been commissioned by venues such as 92NY; received awards from the Minnesota Orchestra, the Juilliard Orchestra, and ASCAP; and been performed by ensembles and musicians including the Juilliard Orchestra, the Daedalus String Quartet, pianists Natalie Zhu and Tengku Irfan, and cellists Jonah Kim, Nathan Chan, and Phillip Sheegog.Goldschmitz received a Master’s of Music in music composition from The Juilliard School, and is currently completing a Master’s in Nonprofit Leadership and Management from Arizona State University. At Juilliard, he co-founded the school’s first contemporary opera program, facilitating the creation, staging, and premiere of six new opera scenes per year and establishing a collaboration with performance venue National Sawdust. Goldschmitz also received a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science at Columbia University under the Columbia-Juilliard Exchange program and a 3-year accelerated graduation track, and led scientific research studies in neuroscience and geochemistry at the Columbia University Medical Center and the Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory.
