Systems acceptance testing included fail/alarming scenario of all components of the dual fabric SAN between Brocade and Cisco director switches. Tape and disk backup libraries moved to SAN based architecture. • Result of Blade server virtualization and SAN and projects reduced nightly DB processing from up to 22 hours to 30 minutes. This success was paramount to enable the corporate strategy of entry into international call termination markets where real-time call profile monitoring is necessary to mitigate high call fraud risk.• All servers across the enterprise brought up to compliance with new hardware and OS standard management policies. New requirements were enforced to manage standard build process and “golden” image from SAN. Automation was achieved by SAN or PXE booted base images with Kickstart files to add servers to the environment from which then Puppet configuration change management over multiple servers would take place.• Various multi-phase production network projects, servicing over 10500+ network nodes, of migrating to new Ethernet networks across three datacenters, while incorporating full packet capture and analysis capability.• Developed a distributed multi-service Nagios monitoring platform covering over 65000 network nodes. Many custom plugins were developed to solve industry specific challenges, such as custom SNMP trap receiver/ front-end consolidator by insertion into database where additional monitoring logic could be applied to provide clarify when thousands of notices per second are being sent from network during an event.
