Chatwaka Jackson is a Missouri native who is a hair and make-up stylist and business owner of Suite 101. Chatwaka has since relocated to Los Angeles to expand her career. Before branching into her own Salon Suite 101 two years ago Chatwaka has worked in one of St Louis’ most innovative downtown salons, SHi Salon. Chatwaka has styled and worked beside some of St Louis’s top Fashion Designers House Ov Beeombi, LAHA Clothing and Eyekon Klothing CO, Photographer Lawrence B for DELUX Magazine and Halima Martin of Martinel Photography, Productions of Jacquelyne Craig of Blaq Séance Productions, Missouri Fashion Week, as well as volunteered for charitable local fashion shows throughout the St Louis area. One of her greatest accomplishment has been styling for BET new reality show Nellyville and New York Fashion Weeks Harlem Fashion Row for the past two years. Chatwaka has studied at one of the top and innovative nationwide schools, Paul Mitchell of St Louis. “This school not only taught me the art of styling but also the gift of giving back. I love to do photo shoots and fashion shows which act as a broader platform for my work. I have been trained and mentored by some of the top hairstylist in the industry Marie Simone, Keith Campbell, Jason Reyes, Andrea Johnson, Rance John and so many others. Staying grounded in God that what keeps me humbled. Chatwaka enjoys attending and volunteering at church and in her community with local youth organizations which she has begun her own -Love if you D.A.R.E. (Desiring to achieve Awareness while Reaching to Empower Youth) which is a platform to help youth and young women develop positive self-imaging, interpersonal skills as well as promote self-love.
