- Managed the HR department for a rural public school district of 1,200 students and 240 employees on a Native American reservation. Areas of responsibility include recruiting and hiring of new staff, employee and labor relations (including employee discipline), policy and procedure development, and employment law compliance. - Secured $1.36M grant from NM state education department to hire additional educational assistants to support student learning and grow the teacher pipeline.- Coordinated special projects including district strategic planning, COVID-19 response, virtual and in person community events/meetings, superintendent search, and equity initiative.- Implemented a new human resources IT system to improve recruiting and hiring of new employees and management of employee data. - Secured a grant of $170,950 to implement a comprehensive teacher recruitment campaign that includes multimedia communications, partnerships with universities and non-profits and improvements to HR business functions.

Samtskhe-Javakheti Region, Georgia

• Provided full time technical assistance in project management and grants to host country nationals at a local NGO focused on women’s empowerment, gender based violence and women’s health.• Partnered with director to manage projects and donor relationships with local and international project staff at embassies and private foundations to provide pertinent project outcomes and grant reporting.• Lead proposal writer on 25 grant proposals and other solicitations that resulted in 8 awards (a 32% success rate) totaling $151,054 in support of grassroots development activities for women and girls. Researched best practices and evidence-based models to inform project design and implementation; assessed new funding opportunities from bilateral aid sources.• Wrote 10 M&E and final reports (narrative and financial) on project activities and outcomes for USAID Small Projects Assistance Program, US Embassy in Tbilisi, Kvinna till Kvinna, and Canada Fund for Local Initiatives (Canadian Embassy). • Independently developed proposals (with budgets, logical frameworks, and theories of change) and concept notes ranging from $2,500 to $1 million to numerous donor organizations. • Facilitated a weekly empowerment group to assist girls ages 14-18 with college and career planning and improving English language skills. Coordinated informational interviews with Georgian and American professionals and organized job shadowing site visits that increased awareness about different career paths. Guest speaker at English classes in rural village schools.• As a Peace Corps trainee, independently implemented a training on grant writing for 7 local Georgian NGO professionals, organized a community event for parents and children with a small team of volunteers and completed intensive technical and language training (350 hours).

Oversaw vendor procurement, contract management, budget monitoring and reporting (financial and narrative).• Special projects implemented: reviewed grant proposals and made funding recommendations, event management of a 250 person conference, managed Board committees and government inter-agency working groups.

As part of graduate school field work, I conducted the following projects:• Assisted with a strategic planning initiative to improve the state's health and human services delivery model and wrote the final report of working group recommendations that was submitted to the Governor. Developed a proposal for the relocation plan for the Department of Parks and Recreation to a new facility and advised the Chief Operating Officer on a community fundraising initiative, including developed a fundraising plan.

• Managed a donor portfolio of 300 business executives and increased donor gifts between 10% and 100% resulting in over $11 million for at-risk families in a 5 year period. Supervised 1.5 full time employees and 10-15 senior industry executives on a volunteer fundraising committee that resulted in reaching business development target goals and increased investment in the organization.

• Cultivated and managed relationships with individual donors that resulted in $1.5 million in support for student scholarships, faculty research and academic programs. Oversaw a volunteer fundraising committee of 15 people that surpassed its target annual fundraising goal and set a new giving record.
