I currently serve as the assistant director of alumni programming at Georgia State University. Iam responsible for providing professional skills and knowledge to support and advise the network volunteers and affinity partners of the Alumni Association. I coordinate with alumni networks to increase engagement, elevate alumni experience, train and develop future network leaders. I also produce professional and social-focused events, both virtual and in-person, to engage Georgia State’s more than 200,000 alumni.Before joining the Advancement team, I served as the orientation coordinator at Georgia State University. In this role, I collaborated with campus stakeholders, student organizations, and student orientation leaders to coordinate on-campus and online orientation operations for incoming Freshmen and transfer students. I was responsible for organizing the recruitment of orientation leaders and conducting year-long training and leadership development for student workers. Before entering the world of higher education, I served in several events and people management roles with Walt Disney World, Universal Studios, and Bloc south Talent Agency. I earned my Master’s degree in Learning, Leadership, and Organizational Development from the University of Georgia, and attended Georgia State University for my Bachelor’s in Arts degree. With my experience and a recent master's degree in LLOD, I want to continue to explore the importance of building an inclusive culture through diverse programming leadership training. outside of work, I am a mother of two boys so I am always on the go and looking for new places to explore with my family. There is never a dull moment in my life and I strive every day to make sure that my passion for my family also matches my passion for the work that I do.
