Building on my work over the past ten years leading BEF’s CE program in early talent development with partners across the country, I’m excited for this next journey as the Director of Learning & Development at BEF. I will guide the strategic direction and execution of talent and career development initiatives, as well as creating engaging learning experiences that integrate diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB) across all departments. I’ll be focusing on enhancing BEF’s capacity to attract, retain, and develop talent through scalable onboarding and training programs, particularly for emerging climate leaders.

As Director, I was responsible for the strategic direction of the program in conjunction with organization leaders, staff and partners based on market research, program evaluation, partnership and funding opportunities, and resource capacity. I also served as a program administrator and ambassador. I represented CE to a wide variety of education and industry leaders at events and advisory groups. During my first six years at BEF, I led the program, originally called Solar 4R Schools, through a variety of transformations and achievements.• Stabilized and revitalized Solar 4R Schools to increase efficiency and effectiveness in program delivery and outputs• Developed program logic model and theory of change• Solar 4R Schools (BEF) earned CRS and EPA’s Green Power Leadership Award for Leadership in Green Power Education in 2015• Collaborated with the BEF Development Team to secure the first signature level sponsorship of the program in 2015• Designed and implemented a new program model that expanded impact of investments tenfold for one third the cost of legacy engagements• Co-led the program rebrand effort with the BEF Operations, Business Development Depts and external contractor to develop the new program vision and brand: CE – Clean Energy. Bright Futures. to more accurately reflect the scope and impact of the growing program• Achieved significant increases in program impact by 2018 - in the first 4.5 years of the new model in comparison to the first 12 years of the program by: o 250% more science kit materials delivered to schools and educational institutions o 72% more students engaged o 65% more professional development hours provided to teachers by the program o 80% more schools participating • Led CE strategic planning and development of the next phase of program growth in scaling in 2018-2020 to the new CE fellowship model, which further multiplies the benefits of program impact investments to reach even more students across the country

I achieved this by conducting in-depth program evaluations, revitalizing and expanding conservation & environmental health education programs, raising the profile and reputation of the organization, then restructured operations and managed two structural transitions due to growth of the organization from all of these efforts. Home Water Survey Program; Seasonal Position: June - September 2002 and June-October 2003. Consulted and educated customers on efficient water use strategies inside the home and for landscaping, researched available resources and provided site-specific follow-up reports. Assisted with coordination and support for surveyor team, phone consultation with customers, and scheduling of appointments

Assist with course preparation and grading; led discussion sections; and tutored students individually in: ecology, intro to ENVS, urban environmental impact assessments (NEPA process), and sustainable urban planning.

University of Oregon Resource Assistance for Rural Environments (RARE) Program, Americorps, and Peace Corps Fellows Program. Developed and managed new Education and Outreach Program; Coordinated workshops and gave educational presentations on natural resource topics in schools and community events for citizens of all ages and backgrounds; Designed and created pamphlets, flyers, logo, displays, posters and website; Researched, wrote and submitted grants for program projects; fundraising activities; Wrote and submitted news releases to local publications on a regular basis

Dadeldhura, Nepal. Facilitated and coordinated the organization of 50-member girls’ environmental club; Designed and conducted improved cookstove trainings for villagers and forest rangers; Provided technical assistance to DFO staff and women’s forest user groups; Networked with businesswomen and NGOs in Kathmandu to help set up contacts to for young women to enable start-up for income-generation projects
