Team Leader (Trade Control Process)
Here, I was working for the Middle Office on behalf of the Trade Control team, to ensure daily execution, maintenance, integrity, and accuracy of all aspects of the Trading Support process between BAML and its counterparties. My daily errands comprised handling matters pertaining to inbound and outbound trade communication files, trade fails/breaks, and collateral management. I was always responding to ad-hoc requests, while maintaining work queues and reviewing data from various internal and external sources.I was involved in trade validation through timely and accurate management of trade capture process, while ensuring that all trades are booked according to terms of underlying agreement across both front-office and down-stream applications. I was entrusted with rendering support to assigned trading desks with support across all middle-office functions in a timely and accurate manner.Moreover, I was involved in ongoing trade maintenance through management of trade lifecycle events and trade amendments with a view to correct incorrect positions. I was also resolving risk and P&L issues by working closely with MO Risk and P&L to resolve issues on time. I worked with sales and client management teams to ensure that client issues were addressed and resolved. Also, I resolved queries by investigating any issues raised to the team, while liaising with front office, back office and/or the client as necessitated.Furthermore, I developed and maintained a collaborative relationship with the front office and other key stakeholders. I also identified process breakdown and issues, while overseeing escalations on time and driving process improvements independently. I was also building and maintaining robust working relations with onshore and offshore teams comprising regional middle offices, trading desks, other operational functional teams, etc.
