Was brought in to handle the changeover of the production base from UAE to other countries.Diversified the production base into Bangladesh, Kenya, Jordan, Egypt and India.Established a full fledged merchandising and quality control office in Dhaka (Bangladesh).Streamlined and changed systems to adhere to the new vendor base.Convinced our banks to support the change in the best possible manner.Developed an employee incentive program with the management and got it executed.Devised a travel plan for self and staff in order to monitor off-shore production.Analyzed the complex banking systems in Bangladesh and persuaded the banks there to cooperate with us on certain issues and at the same time changing some of our systems to cater to their requirements.Also developed from scratch a new division for Corporate and School uniforms to cater to the domestic UAE market. Developed a work shop for manufacturing made-to-measure corporate uniforms. The school uniforms in bulk are imported from India, China and Bangladesh.

Fashqua was the turning point of my career as I got an opportunity here to re-build a buying company running at a loss. I proposed a business plan to the holding company (Neelkamal International) and convinced them for the same. Developed a marketing strategy to get new customers and this included several trips to the US including visits to the Magic show at Las Vegas (Magic show).Worked with vendors in Bangladesh, Egypt, Kenya, Jordan and India to establish long term relations for mutual benefit.Worked with raw material suppliers in China, Taiwan, Korea and India.Hired merchandisers, quality control personnel and sample makers and trained them to adhere to buyer norms.Developed a full range of samples which helped in the development of new business. Spearheaded the complete functioning of the buying agency.

Was the first merchandiser to be hired for a new buying company with ready customers and ongoing orders.Handled complete merchandising for 6 customers for about a year until more staff was hired.My work was appreciated and I was asked to head the newly formed team.Defined and delegated duties to the team members and created systems and work processes in the company.

Was hired during NIFT campus recruitment.Worked as a production assistant supervising 350 machines producing leather apparel for export.Reporting to the production manager with daily production reports.Executed successfully the responsibility of time study for each operation involved in the making of different styles.
