About Chay Wakeham
I am a very tech savvy person with a passion for learning new skills when it comes to technology, as early as I can remember I have been around computers and different technologies and over the course of my life i have kept up to date with the latest software and hardware.I'd often provide support to friends and family to resolve issues they face or provide advice when purchasing new gadgets, if there was something they needed help with that I didn't know I'd eagerly search online for the information to help and further expand my knowledge.I am a quick study and have a drive to learn new skills in general but especially when it comes to tech, for example I have started to study and self-teach myself web design coding and plan to move onto further coding when I'm ready.

I returned all undelivered items returned to the sorting office ready for customer collection, or redelivery. My role has since evolved and it now includes driving Royal Mail vans, delivering timed special items, tracked items, and I also prepare mail and sort it onto the frames. This involves checking to make sure the mail gets assigned to the correct slots on each frame prior to the tying up process. I believe this has improved my accuracy and efficiency on the job, as I have a better understanding of the entire process from start to finish. I have also been asked to come in early on numerous occasions in order to prepare other people’s walks and frames for them, as well as doing my own on any requested day.I requested to work within the office to book in and process any undelivered items. This involved accurately inputting parcel information onto Royal Mail’s data system. Once this had been completed an ID label was attached to each item and then organised ready for customer collection. This also involved dealing with a high volume of customers at a busy and stressful period when many customers were anxious about their items. Show less
Senior Marshall
As a Senior Marshall, I ensured all the staff were properly trained, and that they adhered to strict health and safety guidlines at all times. It was also my duty to maintain and repair any broken equipment such as air powered rifles, safety helmets, goggles, and air cylinders. The main aspect of my job was to communicate the rules and regulations set by the company to all customers in my care (which was normally 30-40 per group), prior to them entering the field to play a 30 minute game. All customers were supervised by myself and one other field marshall at all times to ensure complete safety and enjoyment. I often used persuading, influencing and negotiation skills to ensure all policies were adhered to. A final requirement at the end of my shift was to clean and maintain all the equipment used. This involved oiling and cleaning the guns, refilling Co2 and air cylinders, checking and cleaning all safety equipment and packing it all away ready for the next shift. Show less
