Building on years of experience as a freelance videographer and video editor in both Melbourne and Sydney, I founded 'Chaylon & Co.' to take my passion for visual storytelling to the next level. Recognizing the need for a more collaborative and scalable approach, this venture represents a strategic halfway point between a freelancer and a traditional agency. While maintaining the personalized touch and flexibility of a freelancer, 'Chaylon & Co.' projects the capacity to handle larger projects, something I've proven by successfully bringing on assistants for significant assignments in the past. The vision for 'Chaylon & Co.' is to grow into a collective of creative minds working together, attracting larger projects, and offering comprehensive video services that resonate with businesses in need of quality and innovation.

Starting as a Videographer in Melbourne, I collaborated with local production companies, agencies, and brands to create video content for social platforms. Focused on capturing visuals that aligned with each project's goals, I contributed to clear and effective communication with their target audience. After relocating to Sydney in October 2019, I continued to film jobs of various briefs and budgets, mostly shooting for online platforms. With years of on-set experience, I've taken on larger projects, occasionally bringing on camera assistants and editing assistants. This transition has allowed me to increase the scope of work I'm able to deliver, while maintaining quality and consistency.

I worked professionally on commercials, TV series and feature films as:- 2nd Camera Assistant: Collaborated with the Director of Photography and 1st Camera Assistant, focusing on optimal camera setup and maintenance. Responsibilities included lens changes and equipment handling, contributing to the visual quality of the production.- Data Wrangler: Managed and safeguarded all digital assets, including video and audio files. Ensured the integrity and proper organization of data, facilitated smooth workflow by transferring and backing up files, and worked with post-production teams to streamline the editing process.- VTR Operator: Managed and coordinated video feeds, providing real-time access to footage for directors, producers, and other key personnel. Worked closely with production teams to ensure seamless communication and organization of live and pre-recorded content, while also maintaining and troubleshooting equipment as needed.
