In the 2012 period I traveled across to South East Asia a total of 5 times with my longest stint being a 30 day hitch. Armed with nothing but a translator and a laptop I was involved in meetings & presentations for oil companies as well as any field work that required completion. I am proud to say that I oversaw the first initial installation in China from start to finish and our work overseas continues to thrive.

I spent my next 2 years as a derrick hand / relief driller on a telescopic single before I was awarded my own rig (#88) which I began to drill on. After a 1.5 years drilling/relief pushing I gained the opportunity to take my career path in a different direction.
