As Operations Manager for Gryphon Oilfield Solutions I am responsible for overseeing all operations in the the Canadian market as well as some international activity. Forecasting, P&L analysis, inventory management, as well as logistics, procedures and safe working practices come under my banner. While I've been in charge of operations I've run a tight ship, ensuring efficiencies are optimized while maintaining a high product quality and service standard.I am proud to say that with my extensive background in downhole tools, my input into tool development is respected. To date I have officially been named on a Gryphon patent application for one of our premium product lines as well as made a suggestion to modify one of our existing designs that increased the pressure rating and reduced the cost by over 30%.With my current position I have become very well rounded in the higher levels of the business, being able to co-ordinate through operations, sales, accounting, supply chain and engineering.

With the piecing out of Suretech's parent company Sanjel, The assets of Suretech Completions were purchased by a private equity company based out the the USA and re-branded. The newly formed Gryphon Oilfield Solutions offers the same great products and service as before with a renewed interest in developing intelligent completion solutions to optimize the efficiencies of downhole Multistage Fracturing Systems.I am honored to have been brought through the transition to continue my role as a Sales Specialist with this newly formed company and am excited to explore where this new opportunity will lead.

With an extensive background in the Oil & Gas Industry, specifically downhole tools, I am in an excellent position to provide customers with any information/solutions they may require.

As a technical specialist for Suretech Completions I assisted the sales team with operational and technical data to ensure our customers had the correct information and equipment for their job requirements. I was in charge of looking into and completing any "Action Items" from customers. This gave the sales team the ability to keep their feet on the street and continue to sell while still providing an excellent level of service to their customer base.I used any downtime to create Marketing Material for the company and operational programs for the field staff. In my 6 months as Tech Specialist I created 2 Case Histories, information sheets for the SUREstack and SUREplug line, as well as the field workbook and drawing program that is still in use to date.

As an International Field Service Rep for Suretech I was involved in the installation, frac, and seat retrieval for multistage liners in China. In the 2012 period I traveled across to South East Asia a total of 5 times with my longest stint being a 30 day hitch. Armed with nothing but a translator and a laptop I was involved in meetings & presentations for oil companies as well as any field work that required completion. I am proud to say that I oversaw the first initial installation in China from start to finish and our work overseas continues to thrive.

With the purchase of BJ Services from Baker Hughes, I was relocated from overseas work back to my original stomping grounds of Grande Prairie. I continued to work in the field installing conventional and multistage liner systems. I very much enjoyed my time at Baker and the people I worked with, however when I received the opportunity from Suretech to advance my career path, I had no choice but to explore this new challenge!

Prior to the purchase of Innicor Completion Systems from BJ Services I had advanced full time to International Field Service Representative. I worked in countries such as Egypt and Tunisia until I found my full time niche in Australia and New Zealand. I was originally sent overseas due to my knowledge of open hole completions as well as cased hole frac packer straddle assemblies. During my time in Australia I worked on multiple wells using straddle frac tools as well as multiple plug and perf operations. I also was involved in the first multistage liner installation in New Zealand for the company.

I began my journey in downhole tools with Innicor Completion Systems. With 2 weeks of training I began to work in the field alone. My career in the Oil & Gas industry began on the Service Rigs with Ensign Rockwell Energy Partnership. I began my work as a roughneck in the Maxhamish/Helmet area around Fort Nelson B.C. on a mobile double. Within 3 months I was relief derrick hand and had my first BOP ticket in a year. I spent my next 2 years as a derrick hand / relief driller on a telescopic single before I was awarded my own rig (#88) which I began to drill on. After a 1.5 years drilling/relief pushing I gained the opportunity to take my career path in a different direction.
