Working in Google's EdTech branch EngEDU to pioneer radical change in computer science education and a expand opportunities to students of all backgrounds

Google is committed to improving Computer Science Education. I had the privilege of developing, piloting and expanding the Google in Residence Program. This program, also know as GIR, leverages Google engineers in the classroom to improve computer Science Education. A Goolger-in-Residence also partners closely with faculty, consulting on the current curriculum and overall program.

I lead the technical portion of the 30 weeks curriculum. In this capacity I advise the founders on all things technical and help them form the right team to bring their products to fruition.

As part of an initiative with Google, I taught computer science at Howard University and consulted with the faculty of 5 HBCUs to modernize the curriculum. Developed gameplay and UI systems World of Warcraft: Cataclysm, a game with 10 million subscribers that grossed $2 billion annually with over 4.7 million copies sold in the first month.

Implemented 4 of 12 game worlds including enemies, objects, and weapons, and procedural for Ratchet and Clank Future II: A Crack in Time; over a million copies sold.
