Chazz Shrader has been involved in the construction industry for over 25 years. His career started as a field electrician working the residential/multi-family sector and progressed into commercial and industrial projects. During his time as a field electrician he also spent almost two years building process control panels for environmental cleanup and waste water facilities. In 2000 he partially moved into the office to start creating field layout drawings (now commonly referred to as VDC drawings) using AutoCAD, to aid in reducing inefficiencies at the jobsite. Although now out of the field entirely, he now uses his field experience as a base to provide multiple resources on projects including electrical design for Design/Build and IPD projects, 3D electrical layout and coordination (BIM/VDC), project scheduling, material standardization and electrical prefab design and process development. In addition to his field experience, he also holds a degree in Computer and Electronics Engineering Technology.
