- Appointed by the Chief Operating Officer to led a team of consultants in all technology related matters for the construction of 200,000 square feet of space over four floors that included redundant 4000 square foot Data Centers; a 120-position trading room and general office space to accommodate 500 people. Challenges faced were design and implementation of all new network routers and switches linked to the existing NY area locations to allow for a staged move of 37 separate banking groups and a Broker/Dealer subsidiary. This project concluded with the staged relocation of 160 PC/Unix servers, 450 desktop PC's, 650 voice/data lines and 28 market data services with less than six minutes of unscheduled down time over a three-month period.- Led team responsible for the inventory, testing and upgrade of the more than 1,500 unique hardware components and applications to ensure Year 2000 compatibility. Success of this project was evidenced by the bank's ability to make the transition from December 31, 1999 to January 1, 2000 without incident of software or hardware failure. - Developed plan for technology related aspects of the Bank and its US Subsidiaries business recovery. In addition to leading the recovery of systems for quarterly user testing at business recovery sites in the US, was responsible for the creation and execution of a plan to do real time mirroring of critical data to recovery site servers.
