Educator and Software developer. I have three decades of experience in the educational field, both in Trade Schools and Higher Education. Besides teaching and mentoring, I have worked in the creation of two Higher Educational Institutions from the ground up (UNIASSELVI and ASSEVIM) as a member of small consulting team. My work in these projects was managing the subject specialist teams that created the curricula of the several undergraduate courses.I have also worked in Non-Profit Trade Schools since the beginning of my career and have the greatest satisfaction in being part of aiding scores of low-income youths jumpstart their careers in Information Technology. I have worked at trade schools both as instructor and manager, and also mentoring and advising the students, I have domain over the whole life-cycle of this kind of educational activity, from course design to job placement, including marketing, funding, admissions, setting industry partnerships, alumni follow-up; in addition to managing the courses and analysing the data they produce in order to improve them. I excel at creating courses and managing their life-cycle, always re-evaluating and tweaking, chosing new strategies and inventing new ways to maximize learning and personal development. I believe education is much more than just the content, specially since I have always worked with young people entering the job market, a moment where they need to develop a myriad of life skills in order to help them succeed.Alongside the educational career, I have developed several course management and learning management softwares for higher and vocational education, as well as other web software and websites related to the educational field.I also volunteer as a scoutmaster at a local group of "Escoteiros do Brasil" (Scouts of Brazil) where volunteers and parents help boys and girls (scouting in Brazil is coed) to become self-reliant and acquire valuable life skills.
