Manage all aspects of IT for the North American region of a global Consulting Engineering firm. Currently, responsible for managing 5 offices via a team of 3. Interface with central IT teams in the UK, and local teams across Europe and the Middle East. Assist in creating and maintaining global governance standards and strategic planning as a part of the Heads of IT management team. Oversee local desktop and server infrastructure. Responsible to local partners and global IT director for maintaining service quality levels. Assist with management and planning of local infrastructure and initiate improvements to global infrastructure as necessary. Responsible for establishment and maintenance of regional budgets.

Design, implement, manage, and support networking environments for several small and medium-sized businesses. Provide on-going scheduled and emergency support for complete infrastructure including firewalls, servers, and desktops. Design and implement projects including server replacements and upgrades. Deliver remote and telephone support on an as-needed basis. Technologies commonly encountered include Windows Small Business Server 2003 with Exchange 2003, Windows XP, SonicWall, Symantec Anti-Virus, and Veritas Backup Exec.

Manage all IT issues at corporate head office. Maintain servers, firewalls, routers, desktops, managed-service Web hosting, and managed e-mail services.
