Tillowz were unique 12 x 16 inch cotton terry pillows designed for use at the beach or pool, and also great for day cares, sleepovers, camping, airplanes and car rides. Tillowz were customizable. Organizations and businesses were able to have their logo embroidered onto them. We worked with nonprofits who employed adults with developmental disabilities to sew and assemble the pillows in the USA.

Blue Ridge Speech & Hearing Center’s provides quality assessment and treatment; and when needed, provides discounted or subsidized treatment for people with speech, language, hearing developmental and motor skill challengesMy role was to provide assistance and advice to the CEO on the following projects:- employee policy and handbook review and revision- emergency preparedness planning including creating an office manual and employee desktop guide- donor records management and migration to a donor management system

Manage and coordinate a week long summer program designed to engage youth and develop their leadership skills helping them to become confident, knowledgeable, and contributing members of the Loudoun community. This year 26 youth participated and had the opportunity to visit 12 sites and interact with 44 community leaders including local government officials, business executives and nonprofit leaders.

Cultivate relationships with various stakeholders including potential donors, partner agencies, other community agencies and county government officials and staff members. Engage in and manage fund raising efforts including grant writing, an annual golf outing, a silent auction and a youth fashion show. Develop and implement a youth leadership program for high school students. Collaborate with community partners to coordinate large and small scale youth events ranging from 10 to 4,000 youth participants. Coordinate brown bag lunches connecting youth service organizations in the county to promote collaboration. Coordinate annual Loudoun Youth grants program which awards funding to organizations serving youth. Develop and manage organization infrastructure including accounting system, payroll system, human resource activities, policies and procedures and contact list/database. Build and develop effective board and committee structure.

Assisting with the redesign, network-wide training and development of learning materials for a new online data management system. Also engaged in reviewing and analyzing affiliate office reports and network-wide statistics regarding operations for compilation of annual reports.

Managed the development of a 4,000 page curriculum including 40 learner manuals and corresponding trainer guides. Coordinated national and regional training events. Provide training and technical assistance to the national network members on nonprofit management, service provision and data management.

Directed fundraising and marketing efforts for the organization. Developed plan and tracking system, wrote and managed grants, developed marketing materials, coordinated first annual fundraising event, engaged board members in an annual giving campaign and cultivated relationships with potential donors. In addition, managed and developed the organization web site and oversaw computer operations.

Coordinated community programs for schools. Managed annual back-to-school supply drives serving over 2,300 students and utilizing over 200 volunteers, implemented yearly Arizona Diamonback reading and character education school programs, and administered a collaborative oral health awareness program for 4,000 elementary school students. In addition, composed and coordinated organization newsletter and organized monthly meetings for school and agency staff serving children.
