I'm currently a Special Postdoctoral Researcher (SPDR) in RIKEN Interdisciplinary Theoretical and Mathematical Sciences Program (RIKEN, iTHEMS) in Japan. My major interest and expertise is in theoretical physics, especially in gravity theories such as general relativity and its possible extension. This field of study is highly related to the frontier of modern theoretical physics and astrophysics, such as dark matter, dark energy, black hole physics, inflationary physics, and quantum gravity, etc.In particular, I'm actively working on the topics of astrophysical probes into gravitational theories and spacetimes under strong gravitational fields, such as gravitational waves, black hole shadows, and asteroseismology. With the rapid development of observation technology (LIGO/Virgo, EHT, etc), I believe that we can have a much better understanding of our universe in the near future.In addition to doing research, I enjoy teaching and lecturing. During my PhD at National Taiwan University, I had several experiences of being a teaching assistant in NTU. I have also organized the student journal club in which students in the group should lecture on various topics in theoretical physics. Till now, I've given lectures on cosmological perturbations, information theory, black hole perturbations, loop quantum gravity, black hole shadow, and asteroseismology. At the end of 2017, I was invited to give a lecture on modified gravity models in UPV/EHU, University of the Basque Country in Spain.
