My years of service to Rainbow Centre provided me with a variety of opportunities: I led and was involved in a variety of organisational development initiatives - from undertaking policy and process reviews to planning engagement events for staff across all levels, change-managing leadership development initiatives and even working with external consultants to perform organisational health assessments using Business Excellence and Employee Engagement frameworks. I worked closely with our Executive Director and the Leadership Team - an example being in the envisioning and monitoring of the organisation's strategic plan - and provided executive support to our Board of Governance. I am proudest of the connections I made across all levels of Rainbow Centre through cross-unit collaborations on projects, and of the impact my team has made on all staff through the appreciation events which we planned over the years. This experience granted me invaluable insight into the disability sector and how much heart goes into the work that we do for our clients.
