Liang Chee Hoo is now the Chief Operating Officer in AMT. He is driving the life science business for AMT.

Liang Chee Hoo joined AMT in year 2001 as research and development engineer. He is now the director of Business Development & Technology in AMT. Chee Hoo is in charge of R&D activities of new materials and processes, capabilities upgrading, Intellectual properties management, and key supplier relation management in AMT. He works closely with local research institution, e.g. SIMTech, NTU, NUS, as well as overseas research institution in materials related project. Through EnerTek, a consortium formed by EDB, Rolls Royce and Accuron Technologies, Chee Hoo had developed a Ceramic Injection Process for a composite materials used in Solid Oxide Fuel Cell. He was involved in patenting and trade marking a few new capabilities in AMT as well: Bi –materials Metal Injection Molding, In-Coring, CuMIM, WCuMIM. His latest adventure in AMT includes establishing 3D Metal Printing capability and business; and clean room facility used to manufacture laser fiber (Urology application). A part from Technology, Chee Hoo is taking the lead in M&A activities in AMT as well. In year 2016, Chee Hoo has helped AMT in acquiring major stake in Aurum Healhcare, a medical consumable company in Malaysia.Chee Hoo holds a Master Degree in Materials Engineering from Nanyang Technological University and a Graduate Diploma in Financial Management from Singapore Institute of Management.
