Visiting Scholar in Asian Studies Program

Oversaw the Korean collection and programs at a premier Asian art museum in the US. Initiated two exhibitions for the galleries: "Contemporary Korean Fiber Art: A Reinterpretation of the Patchwork," and "Palaces of the Joseon Dynasty: Photographs from the National Museum of Korea." Added 73 new objects to the collection, including a fine royal blue-and-white porcelain jar with dragon design, the first set of 17th C. secular paintings, a rare 19th C. lacquer table, and several contemporary art pieces. Oversaw the implementation of 12 public programs and lectures including Buddhist dance, artist demonstration, hanbok fashion show, poetry reading, and lectures on contemporary fiber art. Doubled the membership of the Korean art support group.Guest lecturer at Santa Fe Council on International Affairs, Korea Society, Berkeley University, Princeton University, and George Washington University.

Taught introductory, intermediate, and advanced graduate courses in Asian art, Korean art, and Korean painting, also at Korea University and Ewha Woman's University. Participated in numerous NGO and public interest projects including the UNESCO-Korea, Mansfield Center for Pacific Affairs, Asia Foundation, Korea Society, Ministry of Information of Korea, and Korea Foundation. Speaker at the Association for Asian Studies and College Art Association.

Worked on the installation, catalogue, labels, public programs, educational programs, and publicity of the traveling exhibition from the National Museum of Korea, "Korean Arts of the Eighteenth Century: Splendor & Simplicity." Lectured at the Library of Congress for the Asia-Pacific Heritage Month, Washington Arts Society, and Smithsonian Events in Boone.
