I got the wonderful chance to work with young adults and adults helping them through there stigma of being gay, abused, trauma and possibly HIV. Helping this community of all races, colors and genders is rewarding and a blessing that I am truly motivated in helping and making a change in our society and helping to advocate for changing the stigma. You do not have to be a in the grips of addiction, or be gay to need help. All humans have stumbling blocks in their lives and I enjoy reaching out a hand to help them stand up again..... everyone needs a helping hand at times.

I was the weekend counselor. I had opportunity to lead educational groups on addiction, understanding relapse and the importance of family support. I had been trained in admission, assessments and intake blood samples. I also lead the group meetings and empower hope and offer tools to help clients reach their goals in recovery.
