I'm a passionate and dedicated professional making some of the early steps in my career journey. I have a strong background in writing, education, and community engagement. With a Bachelor of Arts in English from Oberlin College and a track record of success in my first two post-graduate roles, I'm excited to connect with like-minded individuals, organizations, and opportunities that align with my skills and values as a navigate the transition into a writing and editing role.My most recent role as an Engagement Fellow at CMSD/The Cleveland Foundation allowed me to make a significant impact on the district's family and community engagement efforts. I spearheaded a few of our initiatives, conducted informational interviews with members of our department in order to create an intradepartmental staff directory, and managed various projects, including marketing campaigns and administrative support tasks. Additionally, I wrote, edited, and published a newsletter containing resources for families (career planning, socio-emotional competencies, strategies for academic high school success, physical and mental health, etc.) to leave as my legacy with the district for the 23-24 school year.The previous year, I did a gap year as a First-Year Americorps Member at East Technical High School through City Year, where I spent a year supporting at-risk 9th graders in achieving academic success and socio-emotional growth. I developed after-school enrichment activities, provided one-on-one support to scholars, and participated in professional development and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) training to further equip me to serve as a mentor to my students. During my time at City Year, I also served as the ELA Coordinator, where I initiated projects to promote English Language Arts proficiency, fostered community partnerships, and assisted my lead teacher in curriculum development. I take pride in my ability to mentor and model positive socio-emotional responses to challenges for students.In addition to my practical experience, I have obtained certifications in Social Media Marketing, Digital Marketing, and SEO as well as the Google Project Management Career Certificate, showcasing my commitment to mastering new skills and staying ahead in the ever-evolving digital landscape.I'm enthusiastic about connecting with professionals who share my passion for education, community engagement, and personal growth.
