Building an Intra-departmental Staff Directory:I conducted a series of informational interviews with over 50 employees within the engagement division, compiling essential information to create a comprehensive directory of staff profiles. This initiative facilitated better interdepartmental communication and collaboration.Onboarding Parent Ambassadors:Interviewing and onboarding more than 25 applicants for the Family & Community Engagement office's Parent Ambassador program. After their initial training, I seamlessly transferred them to the Director for further specialized training sessions, ensuring a smooth transition into their roles.Newsletter Creation and Publication:I took charge of writing, editing, and publishing a newsletter tailored to families within the school district. The newsletter featured valuable resources covering various topics such as career planning, socio-emotional competencies, academic success strategies, and physical and mental health. This resource was designed to support families throughout the 2023-24 school year.Marketing Strategies for Attendance Awareness Month:I actively contributed to the development of marketing strategies for National Attendance Awareness Month. My role included creating attendance tools like trackers and event calendars for school building leaders, aiding in the promotion of this critical initiative.Administrative Support and Record-keeping:I provided administrative support to the Director of Attendance and meticulously managed the department's Smartsheet and Excel spreadsheets. These spreadsheets recorded incoming calls and requests for records from the County, ensuring efficient document management and retrieval.Mail Preparation and Compliance Oversight:I led a team of temporary workers in preparing and mailing approximately 40,000 letters to families. It was essential to ensure strict compliance with state-mandated documentation protocols, which I managed with precision using Excel.

"Service to a Cause Greater than Self": Throughout my time at City Year, I wholeheartedly dedicated a full year to serving the community and making a positive impact on the lives of young students. I embraced the opportunity to work closely with 9th graders, recognizing the pivotal stage of their education.Classroom Support: My role primarily involved providing invaluable support within Language Arts classrooms.
