Responsible for the strategic direction, definition, and business value of the technology tools used by the U.S. Tax Practice in the Indirect Tax sub-service line.PRIMARY PROJECT: EY ACA COMPASSAs a trusted advisor for the EY ACA COMPASS project, helped turn around the project and led the team to many successes, including the move from a “lab” environment into operations mode and the delivery of multiple product releases. Provided strategy direction for both day to day operations and future technology for the ACA practice area.

Performed requirements analysis for a complex workflow application and created the top-level and detailed design documents, including data flow diagrams and entity relationship diagrams. During the development phase, coded the application to connect a Web front-end to a relational backend using Domino, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, and SQL.

Provided a paperless work office environment for the global tax practice. Responsibilities included gathering requirements from end-user clients, designing interface and content for a custom-built engagement and document management software product, and conducting software product demonstrations for decision-making committees around the world.

Generated tax returns for corporations, S-corporations, partnerships, individuals, and non-profit entities. Researched tax issues and generated research memoranda.
