"Chelley made us all shine our best!" - Pam Schweitzer, President, Story Arts Minnesota, commenting on my work directing and managing StoryFest 2021.I am great at connecting people and opportunities and communities and that is at the heart of everything I do. I coach, mentor, facilitate, teach, connect, manage, create and nurture. I deliver projects and programs of real benefit to both communities and facilitators. I can back up my creative and relationship-building skills with the nitty-gritty and detail of administration and management. I initiate, design, develop and deliver. As a practicing artist (writer, poet, storyteller) with a trunk full of arts, community and education experience, I have been able to apply my skills at identifying opportunities for growth and connection to all areas of my life and work. Once identified, I set about ensuring that I turn that into something of value for others. As a result I have mentored emerging writers, created connections across continents, calmed communities in conflict and effected change from personal to global levels. I am passionate about the ability of art to be a transformative tool for communities and to heal wounds. And that picture in my header - words carved in stone on the side of a museum - those are words I composed with pupils from Braidside Integrated Primary School in Ballymena, Northern Ireland. The work is embedded into the masonry of the Mid-Ulster Museum and Braid Arts Centre, carved directly into the stone - all 8'x35' of it. The drier version of who I am:Rare combination of executive leadership and tactical execution, gaining experience through traditional non-profit and community organizations, and freelance projects. High level experience and knowledge of community arts, education and non-profit organizations. Business expertise in: • Organization development and implementation of missions•
